I don't have any problems
with this pump. It has been really good to me. I use it constantly.
It's comfortable and I saved money. I don't know what everyone
else is having such problems with. They must have bought bad
ones. The only complaint I have is that it seems the motor has
started to become a little weaker than it was at first, but
we are talking about 6 months of regular use. I'm sure that
it will still work out fine for the next 6 months. Because of
the motor weakening, this product would prbably only be good
use for one baby. You will probably have to get another one
for your next child. That is the only real problem I see so
far. |

When I bought the
Comfort Select Dual I thought that it would be a good pump to
use since it was an affordable double pump and I was returning
to work. Boy was I wrong. It is a pain to use, assemble and
clean (it has a lot of small parts). Just about all I got from
this pump was sore nipples. |

| This is a good pump, but there are a few flaws. For example, the first time that I took it apart to clean it the rubber cup liner never quite fit the same way again. And recently the suction has just gone away. The pump works but there is no suction at all. I have not been able to pump for two weeks because I am going to have to replace the pump. My son is only ten weeks old and I work so it was very inconvenient. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I was shocked reading the reviews for this pump! I had NO problems with it, still dont have any. It is easy to use if you read the instructions and hasn't lost suction at all with me. There are only two little parts on it and one doesn't even come in contact with the breast milk so you don't have to wash it if you choose not to. (I buy the breast pump cleansing wipes to wipe up between major washing at the end of the day) it pumps at whatever suction level I choose and as long as you are sitting up right the milk drains quite nicely into the bottles. I love it, best gift I got from my baby shower! | |||||||||||||||||||||

I have not had good experiences with this pump. It really hurt my breasts and the milk would not drain into the bottles. I have tried to find out why the milk will not drain into the bottles. I have taken the whole pump apart, thoroughly wash and dried all the pieces and put it back together, but it still backs up everytime. Between the soreness from the pump and spilling milk because it will not drain properly, using this pump is very frustrating. I would not recommend this pump to any one. |

This pump is so not
worth the savings. I thought I was getting a really good deal
because this pump worked great the first few times I used it.
But about 3 weeks into pumping the motor seemed to be struggling
to pump and it no longer pumped with a consistent rhythm. After
about two more weeks, it died during my morning pump session.
I would not recommend this pump to any mother. I bought an Ameda
Purely Yours pump after this one died and I absolutely love
it. |

I only use this pump occasionally,
but when I do use it I am able to get enough milk for one of
my daughter's feedings. There isn't enough suction if you only
pump on one side at a time, so you definitely have to pump both
if you want it to work well. |

I read a few of the other Elan reviews and keep hearing moms complain about the pump motor having little or no suction. I must say I had the same problem at first, so I called Evenflo to complain. They let me know that the motor has a sensor on it. If you turn the suction up to quickly, the motor runs slows to protect the nipple. If you press and hold the up arrow on the suction for a few seconds the motor returns to normal speed. Now that I know the trick, I love the pump. It works great! I get a let down very quickly and have no complaints about the pump itself. I think it was worth the money and would recommend it to a friend. The Elan bottles that it comes with I dislike very much. They leak at the bottom. I called Evenflo about the bottles as well and them sent me a new set, that also leaked. If you are going to use this pump and store the milk in the bottle for any length of time, I advise that you buy the storage containers. They can be used in freezer and you can also screw on a nipple and use it as a regular bottle. |

We purchased the pump prior to the
birth of my daughter in October 2006. I didn't really need to
use it while I was home on maternity leave, but began about
two weeks before starting back to work. It was great in the
beginning - that is where the 1 star comes in - and then the
motor got worse and worse by the end of the first month of use.
It was skipping and then would go really slow like it was laboring
to work. It wasn't pumping, so I would be left with hard, full
breasts after 10-15 minutes of pumping. I was very concerned
about my milk supply diminishing. I called and I have to say
that Evenflo's customer service is great - they sent me another
pump even though the 90 day warranty had passed. Unfortuantely,
i am experiencing the same thing with this one. Apparently there
is a problem with the motor for this pump and they need to do
something about it. I am out $160.00 and had to go purchase
a more reliable pump - a Medela who guarantess their pump for
1 year. It is just very disappointing when you don't want to
feed your child formula and you want to nurse. |

I planned to breastfeed exclusively, but I wanted to have a manual pump just in case needed to pump. Since I wasn’t planning to use it very much I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. This pump was cheaper than most of the other manual pumps so I went for it. Mistake! After just a few and by few I mean three the seal broke and it no longer had enough suction. After getting frustrated with it I went and bought an Avent Isis. It was totally worth the extra $15. |

| This pump did not work for me! Save your money and buy a nicer pump! |
