You definitely get what you pay for with this pump. It worked great for about the first couple of weeks, but after that, it lost suction and my milk production decreased by over 50%. Take my advice and buy a professional grade pump, especially if you need to pump more than twice a day. Yes, they are about 5 to 6 times as much, but think about how much money you will be saving without buying formula!

This pump is great I never have problems with it! If you switch to battery power you don’t get as much suction but you still get plenty. For those people who have trouble with the milk backing up – the bottles are too thin! Switch back to the bottles that came with the pump and you’ll see!

The pump is worth what you pay for it.It’s not the best pump on the market but it gets the job done. I can pump 5 oz. each time, but it takes about 30 min. to do so. Another flaw is that the pump is loud and people wonder what the noise is when pumping @ work. But you take the good w/ the bad.

I AM ON MY 2ND PUMP OF THIS BRAND AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. THE MOTOR QUIT WORKING IN ONLY 3 MONTHS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE EVENFLO BRAND TO ANYONE. IT WAS A CHEAP AND I SHOULVE KNOWN THAT FOR WHAT I PAID I WOULDNT GET THE BEST THAT I DESERVED.

I don’t have any problems with this pump. It has been really good to me. I use it constantly. It’s comfortable and I saved money. I don’t know what everyone else is having such problems with. They must have bought bad ones. The only complaint I have is that it seems the motor has started to become a little weaker than it was at first, but we are talking about 6 months of regular use. I’m sure that it will still work out fine for the next 6 months. Because of the motor weakening, this product would prbably only be good use for one baby. You will probably have to get another one for your next child. That is the only real problem I see so far.

I’ve been using this pump for over 3 months now and it just doesn’t do the trick any more. The motor as slowed down tremendously and or stops and has caused the suction to not let down my milk like it did before. With trying to keep up milk production while I’m back at work, I now have to invest in another pump :o (

When I bought the Comfort Select Dual I thought that it would be a good pump to use since it was an affordable double pump and I was returning to work. Boy was I wrong. It is a pain to use, assemble and clean (it has a lot of small parts). Just about all I got from this pump was sore nipples.

This is a good pump, but there are a few flaws. For example, the first time that I took it apart to clean it the rubber cup liner never quite fit the same way again. And recently the suction has just gone away. The pump works but there is no suction at all. I have not been able to pump for two weeks because I am going to have to replace the pump. My son is only ten weeks old and I work so it was very inconvenient.

I was shocked reading the reviews for this pump! I had NO problems with it, still dont have any. It is easy to use if you read the instructions and hasn’t lost suction at all with me. There are only two little parts on it and one doesn’t even come in contact with the breast milk so you don’t have to wash it if you choose not to. (I buy the breast pump cleansing wipes to wipe up between major washing at the end of the day) it pumps at whatever suction level I choose and as long as you are sitting up right the milk drains quite nicely into the bottles. I love it, best gift I got from my baby shower!

I have not had good experiences with this pump. It really hurt my breasts and the milk would not drain into the bottles. I have tried to find out why the milk will not drain into the bottles. I have taken the whole pump apart, thoroughly wash and dried all the pieces and put it back together, but it still backs up everytime. Between the soreness from the pump and spilling milk because it will not drain properly, using this pump is very frustrating. I would not recommend this pump to any one.

I have been exclusively pumping for about 5 weeks now, and have yet to see a problem with this pump! I get about 4 or 5 ounces in 15 minutes, and I pump about every two hours, without any soreness. I use it on the lowest setting.

My daughter had trouble latching on so I bought the Evenflo Comfort Select. I used it maybe twice a day for about a month before it started losing suction. I was getting about 4 oz in 15-20 minutes on each side with it on high for the first few weeks. With batteries, it had almost no suction at all so it has to be plugged in. If you’re not completely centered in the middle of the horn it gets very uncomfortable, even painful, and stops sucking. The suction dial slowly came loose and eventually kept falling out. Even from day 1 it had a somewhat loud, constant buzzing sound that drove my husband nuts. Milk builds up and gets caught in the horn and you have to stop pumping for a minute to let it drain into the bottle. I think milk got into every little space possible, even in the motor. It made such a mess that it took longer to clean up than to pump. I had my very electronic-literate husband take it apart for me so I could clean it. There was even dried milk on the inside of the plastic piece that covers the motor! When he put it back together it worked the same. After using it for 6 weeks, I was getting maybe an ounce at most pumping for 20 minutes and it continued to lose suction. The motor sounded very weak and slow even on high. I was able to collect more by myself in half the time. It would have been worth the money just to get a manual pump and save the hassle. Now pregnant with #2, I’m planning to purchase the Lansinoh Double Electric which is made by Ameda, just marketed under the Lansinoh name, and is exactly the same as their Purely Yours model (one of the 2 top-rated electric pumps on the market). A much better pump and worth the investment.
