I bought this pump after two weeks of trying to get newborn to latch on and using hand pump given by hospital. After two weeks of usage, my milk suply has decreased and nipples are sore and cracked. I was only getting about 1oz during a good pump session. Even on highest setting, milk was low. I am now back to using the hand pu,p and organic teas to try and build supply back up while waiting for pricey pump to be delivered. I didn’t want to spend the higher amount of money, but I have now wasted more money buying this one and neither Target nor First Year will give me my money back!!

I was so stressed out about not having the money to buy a pump, then I came across this one! I was skeptical because of the reviews but decided to buy it anyway, and I am glad I did! I used this pump in the hospital and everyday since then and it works great!! I was scared it would hurt but it is very comfortable! Very easy to use and clean! I would definitely recommend buying this pump.

I bought this pump when I had my second child. For my first, I bought a Medela single breast electronic pump which worked well, but a single pump is so time consuming. I was excited when I saw it was a double electric at a great price. All I can say is you get what you pay for. I am on my second pump and my son just turned 6 months old. The motor on the first pump worked only sometimes. I’d be in the middle of pumping, then the motor would make a strange sound and there wouldn’t be any suction. The company gladly sent me another, but within a month, the new pump started doing the same thing. Another thing I find disappointing is that it is hard to find any replacement parts in the stores. apparently you have to order straight through them. If I have a third child, I am just going to suck it up and pay a little more for a good brand that I know will last.

I am on my second child and going through a divorce which means I have to pump enough for overnight visits. I don’t know what I would do without my First Years double pump. Nursing both my kids for a year each, I really needed something I could rely on and this is it!!! I also have a Medela that cost over 3 times as much as this pump and I hate it. I use my first years exclusively. It is WAY MORE COMFORTABLE than any other pump and latches on better too because of the soft rubber cups. The parts are sturdy and easy to clean. My pump is 3 year old and for both my kids I have used it almost every day and have NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS with it. You won’t find a setup better than the double, one handed handle and the flexable cups! Plus fully adjustable for all sized women. I saw some so/so reviews on this product but from experience I can tell you I think they had more problem with their milk flow than the pump. Not just a good value for the price, it’s a good value for any price.

I bought this pump shortly after giving birth to my son, and I have used it four times per day, everyday since then. I love that it’s comfortable and affordable compared to those pricey pumps. After spending one week in the hospital using their pump I am glad to be at home and have a much more comfortable pump such as this one.

At first the pump was very good and quite convenient to use. I use it about 4-5 times a day. However, in almost 15 days after I bought it, the motor gave away. It started making sounds and the suction failed. I called the company and they sent me a new motor, valves and tubing as well. I was told that moisture in the tubing can get into the motor and cause the suction to fail. They recommended that I completely dry the valves and the rest of the stuff before use. I did as I was told and yet the motor has failed yet again in about 20 days after the new motor was sent by the company. I still am seeing moisture in the tubing which I am guessing caused the suction to fail. My child is less than two months old and the pump has already failed. I don’t recommend this pump if you are in dire need of a breast pump. I am having to use the pump only because my child does not nurse well. Oh well, now I need to figure out a better pump or try and order replacement parts for the current pump….

I bought this pump for the affordable price, and now after using it for only 3 weeks I’m looking at buying a different brand. The suction has already given out on one of the two sides (defeating the purpose of a dual breast pump). My sister had the same problem with her pump. I should’ve learned from her mistake and gone for a more expensive one to start out with. This pump takes FOREVER to drain a breast which is very inconvenient as a working mother. I get more milk in shorter time with my Medela hand pump. Also, the breast shields are not very comfortable, in comparison to the other brands out there. As you turn up the suction (and have to deal with the loudness of the pump), you are likely to feel discomfort. I don’t notice this with the Medela pump shield. The only perks of this pump are the price (under $100 for a dual pump!) and the portability. I’ve pumped in the car with the battery pack which is very convenient! I would NOT recommend this pump. Spend the extra money and get one you’ll really like.

I gave everything a 1 star rating because this pump is HORRIBLE! My milk supply has decreased due to the decrease in suction! I will be buying a new pump tomorrow because I just cannot use this POS any longer! DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP!!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!

It’s waste of ur money.trust me:((((((icant afford anymore pumps and it’s been just 2months I bought this.I have to dry my milk coz my son won’t latch and this stupid pump stop working..I spend around 90something $$$$$for this pump:((
I bought this pump 3 months ago and have been very satisfied! I use it up to 10 times a day and did also have problems with one side loosing suction on one side. You have to pay attention to the valves- when cleaning them you have to make sure they’re not stuck shut. When the valves stick shut the milk has no where else to go but the tubing causing problems in the motor. I called the 1-800 # as soon as this happened and was shipped a new motor and tubing within 2 days with NO HASSLE!!! I love this pump and would highly recommend it! I also aggree with the other lady that this product probably was not the cause of her milk supply going down but her own diet, dehydration… Hope this was helpful, happy pumping!

I bought a Mi Pump for convenience when going back to work. It’s small, that much is true. It’s noisy, doesn’t work as well as other pumps. I typically pumped 160 mL and only pumped 90 with the Mi Pump. The suction cups were too big for me and didn’t fit well at all. I tried to return it, but to no avail. Wal Mart can’t take it back for health reasons and First Years refuses to take it back or credit the money. Unless you magically know it’s going to work perfectly without testing it, don’t bother.

Not worth the price….I realize First Years miPump Double Electric Breast Pump isn’t the most pricey pump on the market…approx 100$ plus tax at zellars….but still your dishing out over 100$.
I bought this pump as it was the only dual electric available in my town. I got it home and my first disappointment was I couldn’t pump directly into my storage bottles as it’s a ‘wide neck’ pump, but whatever that was manageable.
I was very impressed with all the extra stuff you get with the pump…carrying case, nursing pads, nipple soothing sample, etc.
Then came using the pump.
Until giving up and going out and buying this pump I’d been using a manual pump but it was just too much (I pump exclusively) I’d been having a good milk supply and all was going well. The first few tries with the First Years miPump Double Electric Breast Pump I didn’t get anything and had to pump afterwards with the manual anyway. I eventually started pumping on the highest setting (very painful) and withdrew maybe 1/2 what I was getting by handpump and it took much longer. I haven’t used the pump in two days and my areola/nipples are just becoming somewhat touchable again now.
I would not recommend this pump it doesn’t get much milk and the only way to get any milk is very painful. Also it didn’t make any difference to me but it may to some, it’s not quiet like it claims.
It is not returnable either, not even for store credit to buy a different brand. I’m not sure if this is a zellars policy or a first years policy.
Oh yes and it somehow sucks breastmilk into the tubing and theres noway to clean it.
I don’t like giving bad reviews but from my still sore boobs/ lack of milk collected I’d recommend NOT buying this pump

I am using my pump as I write this review. I have had it over a month now and i use it 5 – 6 times a day. I also have a lactina medela which is a $1,200 pump I got from WIC for free (to use) but I needed a portable option. Although it isn’t as powerful, it is awesome on the go and I have never had a problem with it. What I advise is after you wash the unit where that attaches to the collection bottles MAKE SURE IT DRIES COMPLETELY! I have noticed condensation in the tubing when I don’t let it dry completely (but that still never got to the motor). Also, if you use regular batteries you can only get about 10 uses before the batteries die. My only complaint is that the flanges are made of a plastic that causes additional friction and hard plastic would have been better. Remember to use it at its highest setting for best results and to condition your nipples with lanolin after every use!
