I bought this double electric pump after my son was born to help establish my milk supply, since he was born premature and spent a week in the NICU. It worked great at establishing my supply and was only half the price of a Medela pump. The speed and suction settings are easy to use, but the highest suction can be a little strong.
I’ve had it for seven months now and it still works great for pumping at work. The only downside to this pump is that after using it for six months, part of the breast shields are starting to break at the bottom from assembling and disassembling it for cleaning. I had to use glue to keep them together until I can get replacement parts.
The only way to get replacement parts is to order them online, they are not sold in stores.

I researched into pumps before buying this one and all the good things I read about it were true. Lansinoh even sent me a free carrying bag when I started work. If you work in a firm that provides universal pump in the nursing mother’s room, it is compatible. Compared to all the experience by other mothers I knew who were using other brands, I was the one with worry free pumping experience. The quality and price out beats other brands. Not all their customer service is also great. I used it about 2-3 times a day for almost a year without any trouble. I have hooked people on it and they give me thumps up. My sister is expecting in 4weeks and no one can convince to settle for something else. Her brand new lansinoh pump set to go.

I bought this pump based on this site. Sofar it’s delivered great results. It’s only $150 compared to $250-$350 on other simiar double electric pumps. It doesn’t have a case but for $20 i got a super cute cloth train case to store it in. I only need to use 30% of suction also because it’s so strong.

I rented the hospital grade pump for one month to give me time to decide on which to purchase. My sister told me about the Lansinoh purple pump. Half the price and made by Hollister I believe. Love the fact that replacement parts can be purchased. Suction is excellent and found to be similar to the hospital grade. Have been using for 3 months with no decrease in suction. I use at least 3 times a day. Working mom.

I’m a first-time mom and I really love this breast pump. Although this is the only one I’ve used, and I can’t compare it to others, I find that it is easy to use and clean. My co-worker says that it is smaller and has fewer parts than the Medela pumps so. And what’s great is that I paid half the price you would for a Medela, which is usually around $300. I think every mom that is willing and able to pump milk for her baby can benefit from buying this pump.

I researched pumps for months before I decided on this one. This is the same exact pump as the ameda purely yours except that it is marketed under lansinoh and is purple (I even contacted lansinoh to verify this). The pump works great and is super easy to clean. The main reason why I decided on this pump was that it (and the ameda) are the only ones that are FDA approved b/c the milk never comes in contact with the tubing or the motor (as opposed to the medela pumps). The one drawback is that you will have to buy your own carrying case and cooler bag, but for the price, its worth the small expense those will cost you.

It is so difficult to shop for a breast pump. If you buy one, you are stuck with it. You can’t return pumps … not even to Target or Walmart. So, hopefully, this will be a helpful review.
I researched quite a bit before choosing this pump. For my needs, it works great. It is very quiet and very efficient. There are only a few parts, so cleaning and assembly is very easy. It is very simple – one dial for suction and one dial for speed. I have been using it semi-daily for a month now and have not had any difficulties.
It works on A/C adapter or on batteries. I am not a full-time pumper; I just use it once or twice a day to increase production and have a little milk stored for emergency or super-hungry-baby days.
It is quiet enough that I can pump on one side while nursing the baby on the other. I love that you don’t need to clean the tubing … all parts that come in contact with the milk are easily cleaned/sanitized.
Also, Avent makes a conversion kit (available on Breastpumps.com and at Babies R Us for about $10) so that you can pump directly into Avent bottles rather than transferring the milk into bags, etc. Works GREAT!
If you are totally new to pumps, here’s my advice: skip the manual or single pumps. I had the Isis manual pump for my first baby and that was a complete waste of money. I would sit and pump for 20-30 minutes and could barely get two ounces. Electric pumps are so much more efficient. Spend the extra money and get a good pump. It helps increase your milk production and can help with sore nipples.

I was in love my breast pump when I purchased it but after just 1 month of use the suction started to decrease on and off. So I called Lansinoh customer service and they thought that it may be something wrong with the parts, so I was sent all new parts. Then 2 months later the suction decreased to the point that there was no dout that is was the actual pump that was the problem. At this point I am waiting on a replacement(thank goodness for the warranty). But in the mean time I had to get a rental which totaled almost $100 after I purchased the pumping kit.

I started pumping around 2 weeks since my son was born using its predecessor Lansinoh (it was “ok”). When I returned to work after 4 months I used Medela Pump-In style Advanced (the best choice!!!) at work and continued using Lansinoh at home and I was doing great until Lansinoh pump broke on me last week and I had to go buy a new one. I realized that they have a newer version: “Affinity Lansinoh” and I didn’t want to buy Medela since I didn’t need all the parts, only “motor”. Affinity is not compatible with any other breastpump parts-not even with parts form its Lansinoh predecessor! Not speaking about using Medela parts on it-a complete disaster-don’t try it as is has a completely different suction mechanism, so milk can get into medela tubes using Affinity pump and it doesn’t let into collection bottle. It takes forever for my milk let-down to start, so I rather switch directly to expression mode. Affinity seems like “trying to be” Medela in an economical price range but Affinity is a failure. Lansinoh predecessor pump (which is no longer on the market) was an economical choice which got the job done-a bit rough suction on the nipples but expressed milk sufficiently for me. I am only asking myself a question, why company discontinued this product and came up with a disasterous and not compatible choice.
Lansinoh Affinity pump is a disaster in every single way it possibly can be.
Please DON’T BUY AFFINITY PUMP, go with Medela In Style Advanced instead. I wish I wouldn’t have bought it!
I used to have The First Years miPump single pump and it worked really well until it was broken. I thought I’d tried a different brand and see which one works best. I also rented hospital grade pump, Medela Lactina pump, a very great pump, but it was to expensive to rent it every month.
I bought this pump because of the good reviews I’ve read about it on different websites. This is not the pump I’ve expected to be.
1. It doesn’t trigger the let-down reflex.
2. I have C-cups and the breast shields don’t fit well. That makes it very uncomfortable to pump.
3. It has poor suction. It only pumps out 2 oz, but with Medela/miPump it was 4 oz.
4. It’s noisy. It makes a beeping sound every time it pumps.
I do NOT recommend this pump to anyone. It is awful. Totally waste of money.
