I do like tbis pump being a somewhat frequent pumper. I pump at work 2-4 day 5 days a week. If you are a c cup or more invest in the Large comfort flanges. so much more comfortable and faster getting milk down. All in all a good pump.

I love this pump. I too have used the medela pump since I was told that the hospital grade pumps work best. But my sister-in-law gave me the lansinoh pump, and it worked much better for me than the medela. However, if you insist on using a hospital grade pump, I have found that the older version of medela (medela lactina select) worked FAR better than the newer medela symphony.
Also, my breasts are a size G since my milk came in, and I have had no issues with the shield size.

I bought this breast pump when my son was born and got it out again when my daughter was born two months ago. I absolutely love this breast pump. My one year old son got a hold of it last week and was dragging it around and when I went to use it it wasn't sucking. So I rented a medela pump. My Lansinah worked so much better! I easily could pump twice the amount with the Lansinah. Luckily my husband found the problem and fixed my Lansinah and I couldn't be happier to have it back!! I am only bummed that I spent 80 dollars to rent the Medela and buy the accessories for it. It was a waste of my money in my opinion.

I bought this pump based off reveiws from this site. I have no complaints. It has worked very well for me. I have to use mine daily at work and find it very durable and easy to travel with. I especially like it can be powered by either batteries or plugged into the wall.

I bought this pump as a cheaper alternative to the Medela pumps. I wish I'd spent the extra money. So far, I've had to contact customer service twice; once to send replacement parts for a diaphragm cap that had broken and once to send a whole new pump package since the pump I had lost suction after only 3 months. I'm very skeptical that the replacement pump they sent will work for any length of time. Another frustrating thing is that I hand-expressed my milk while I waited for the replacement pump to arrive and got twice the amount of milk than what the pump did.

I used to have The First Years miPump single pump and it worked really well until it was broken. I thought I'd tried a different brand and see which one works best. I also rented hospital grade pump, Medela Lactina pump, a very great pump, but it was to expensive to rent it every month.

I bought this pump because of the good reviews I've read about it on different websites. This is not the pump I've expected to be.

1. It doesn't trigger the let-down reflex.
2. I have C-cups and the breast shields don't fit well. That makes it very uncomfortable to pump.
3. It has poor suction. It only pumps out 2 oz, but with Medela/miPump it was 4 oz.
4. It's noisy. It makes a beeping sound every time it pumps.

I do NOT recommend this pump to anyone. It is awful. Totally waste of money.

I started pumping around 2 weeks since my son was born using its predecessor Lansinoh (it was "ok"). When I returned to work after 4 months I used Medela Pump-In style Advanced (the best choice!!!) at work and continued using Lansinoh at home and I was doing great until Lansinoh pump broke on me last week and I had to go buy a new one. I realized that they have a newer version: "Affinity Lansinoh" and I didn't want to buy Medela since I didn't need all the parts, only "motor". Affinity is not compatible with any other breastpump parts-not even with parts form its Lansinoh predecessor! Not speaking about using Medela parts on it-a complete disaster-don't try it as is has a completely different suction mechanism, so milk can get into medela tubes using Affinity pump and it doesn't let into collection bottle. It takes forever for my milk let-down to start, so I rather switch directly to expression mode. Affinity seems like "trying to be" Medela in an economical price range but Affinity is a failure. Lansinoh predecessor pump (which is no longer on the market) was an economical choice which got the job done-a bit rough suction on the nipples but expressed milk sufficiently for me. I am only asking myself a question, why company discontinued this product and came up with a disasterous and not compatible choice.
Lansinoh Affinity pump is a disaster in every single way it possibly can be.
Please DON'T BUY AFFINITY PUMP, go with Medela In Style Advanced instead. I wish I wouldn't have bought it!

I was in love my breast pump when I purchased it but after just 1 month of use the suction started to decrease on and off. So I called Lansinoh customer service and they thought that it may be something wrong with the parts, so I was sent all new parts. Then 2 months later the suction decreased to the point that there was no dout that is was the actual pump that was the problem. At this point I am waiting on a replacement(thank goodness for the warranty). But in the mean time I had to get a rental which totaled almost $100 after I purchased the pumping kit.

It is so difficult to shop for a breast pump. If you buy one, you are stuck with it. You can't return pumps ... not even to Target or Walmart. So, hopefully, this will be a helpful review.

I researched quite a bit before choosing this pump. For my needs, it works great. It is very quiet and very efficient. There are only a few parts, so cleaning and assembly is very easy. It is very simple - one dial for suction and one dial for speed. I have been using it semi-daily for a month now and have not had any difficulties.

It works on A/C adapter or on batteries. I am not a full-time pumper; I just use it once or twice a day to increase production and have a little milk stored for emergency or super-hungry-baby days.

It is quiet enough that I can pump on one side while nursing the baby on the other. I love that you don't need to clean the tubing ... all parts that come in contact with the milk are easily cleaned/sanitized.

Also, Avent makes a conversion kit (available on Breastpumps.com and at Babies R Us for about $10) so that you can pump directly into Avent bottles rather than transferring the milk into bags, etc. Works GREAT!

If you are totally new to pumps, here's my advice: skip the manual or single pumps. I had the Isis manual pump for my first baby and that was a complete waste of money. I would sit and pump for 20-30 minutes and could barely get two ounces. Electric pumps are so much more efficient. Spend the extra money and get a good pump. It helps increase your milk production and can help with sore nipples.
