When my other pump borke withtin 8 days of many daily uses, I was forced to buy another with really no time to research. I bought the playtex embrace because for 70 less than the medela pump in style, it seemed like a much better pump(since i don't care about "pumping in style"). Because of this pump my daughter got the breast milk she needed to encourage good health. LOVE THIS PUMP. Also, you have to take apart or dissemble any pump to clean it. Its one of the down sides of pumping. Once you get used to it, its relatively easy!

Good luck!

Right after my daughter was born we were having latch-on difficulties so I rented a Medela pump from the hospital. After a few weeks of pumping and nursing I decided to purchase a pump rather than continuing to rent. My nipples had become sore at this point so I wanted a pump that would be more comfortable to use. The Embrace had a softer look to it so I though I’d give it a try. Plus, it was more affordable than Medela Pump In Style and I found it for the lowest price on Amazon. This pump is very gentle when compared to the Medela rental I used; however, I find that it doesn’t express my milk as quickly as the rental and the motor is a little noisy. Overall, I am happy with the pump because it has helped me to continue breastfeeding my daughter for 8 months now.

I purchased the Embrace because a friend told me that it was supposedly a good one. Having never used a pump before, I didn't know what to expect. I personally was dissatisfied with this particular pump.

I like that it is single or double pump and that you can pump directly into a bottle. The bag is easy and pretty convenient to carry everything in it. However, I did not like having to seperate the pieces and reassemble to clean and use each time.

I also found the noise to be irritating and loud. As far as daily use, the suction cups did not fit correctly and gave me a burn on my nipple. It's too bad we can't try out every pump out there to see which one works best for each of us.

My Playtex Embrace is a very comfortable breast pump, it does have a few design flaws in my opinion. The bottles that you are supposed to pump into have a lip that makes it difficult to pour all of the milk into a freezer bag. I always end up with a little milk left in the bottle. The breast cup also has a groove where milk also gets trapped. Because of this it can be a bit of a challenge to clean everything properly.

I pump quite a bit (6 times a day) so it is really nice to have the soft cups for pumping. I had used a Medela pump at the hospital so I am familiar with both brands and this one is much more comfortable for me.

When I first got it I thought it was all right but when i found out it should not take as long as an hour to pump where i found out other breast pumps only take about 20 mins or so it really changed my mind and as i used the pump it seemed to get worse as i used it the pump as of right know has only been used for the last 10 weeks and know i need to find a new one because this one just does not cut it

This is a great little pump. It is easy to carry around with me wherever I go and it is comfortable to use. The soft cups make it really gentle so I never have sore nipples. The only thing that would make it more convenient to use is if it could run on batteries. Sometimes it can be difficult to find an outlet to pump near. It also would like to have a cooler and a bag of some sort to carry the pump around in.

This is a really great pump. I used a handheld electric pump and a manual pump before I bought this one. The other pumps worked fine when I was only pumping occasionally, but when I went back to work and was pumping even more I needed a double pump to speed up the process. All of the other double electric pumps were too expensive. I love my Playtex Petite, it is comfortable and was so affordable!

I love this pump for many reasons. It is really easy to use and clean. This manual pump was also very inexpensive when compared to other pumps. I would recommend this pump to any mother that wants to pump once or twice a day and isn’t looking to spend a ton of money.

This was a very frustrating pump. I pretty much just work at it - repositioning the cup all the while for as long as I could stand and get as much as possible. Better than nothing but that's about all I can say in it's favor.

This is the best manual pump! It works so well that I get the same volume as with my electric pump only faster sometimes. The only thing I don't like about it is that when you are done it drips from the cup, same with the electric though. Maybe they need to angle it more to avoid that. Also when the bottle is screwed on, if you tip the pump over milk will spill out through the threads where the bottle is screwed on and fast, so be careful, its frustrating. But over all I am very happy with it.
